reflections on mindful, creative living:
the joys & the sorrows
Who is the healer and who is the healed?
I listened to my client’s words and was moved by them, as I am by many folks who I share an hour with each week. It’s almost surreal hearing the commonalities of the human experiences emanating from so many people from different backgrounds and struggling with seemingly different issues. And yet here are the themes of life - a desire to feel connected and accepted, to do things that feel meaningful, to provide for those we love, to give ourselves permission to be imperfect. To be a beautiful hot mess.
The joy and the sorrow of so much
There is so much. So much to say. So much to encounter in this blink of a lifetime. There is much to remember as we move through these days, collecting moments like the finest of jewels. So much to appreciate as we offer our thanks to a world that gives us moments under a pink moon on a warm summer evening on a back porch.
The joy and sorrow of deep sensitivity
The artist does not fit in. The artist is someone outside the norm. The ability to feel what others are numb to, to hear what others tune out, to see what others can’t see – well, that may be one way to define a superpower.
